Un petit plaisir que je n’ai pas ressenti depuis des années. Le test-pressing du futur mini-album de à;GRUMH… est arrivé !

Un test pressing est un tirage limité d’une dizaine de copies d’un disque vinyle afin que le label, l’éditeur, le producteur et l’artiste puissent écouter et vérifier la qualité sonore, l’égalisation etc. En effet, pour un vinyle, après sortie du mixage final du studio, le graveur doit parfois limiter légèrement les pointes d’aiguës ou de basses afin d’éviter que l’aiguille de votre platine ne saute du sillon ! On doit ensuite en écouter la dynamique, la profondeur etc afin d’approuver avant le pressage effectif de tous les disques.

Ce petit plaisir, je l’ai ressenti pour la première fois en mars 1985 lorsque j’ai reçu le test-pressing de notre premier album « Mix Yourself! » qui sortit ensuite en mai 1985. C’est donc 38 années qui sépareront ces deux sorties de disques de ma composition, avec ce mini-LP 6 titres qui sortira en 2023 pour les 40 ans du label Play it again, Sam ! #PIAS40 @agrumh33 #EBM

Based in Vancouver, Canada, Lyle Reimer is a mixed media artist best known for his self-portraits. And by self-portraits, I mean Reimer turning himself into “Lyle XOX”, a beautiful shapeshifting alien-like being straight out of a fantasy novel, with masks and headpieces hand crafted out of recycled ‘garbage’. ♻️⭐️

Found a whole stack of à;GRUMH… stickers, the first ones, the originals from 1986 ! There square, black vinyle and about 10cm sides.
Want one ? You need to do three things :
- Write your name and full address on an enveloppe (letter size), fold it and send it in another enveloppe.
- Add a 5€ or $5 bill (I am only taking euro or US dollars - don’t sent any other currency as the exchange rate and costs at the bank would kill us) - you get euro or USD from your bank ! The sticker is almost free, we just need this to pay for postage and half a drink ! 🍷
- put the two together in an enveloppe and send it to :

Stamp your enveloppe properly for mailing to Belgium (that’s in Europe yeah) and drop it at the post.
